Non adjustable H-jet, slow timing, and a choked muffler. Fix those, and you're in business. Port it,and it's interesting!Bought a 3120 earlier this year so.... whats the real deal with epa restrictions?
Yes I forgot about those restrictions...Non adjustable H-jet, slow timing, and a choked muffler. Fix those, and you're in business. Port it,and it's interesting!
Service manual says max 11 500- 12 500 rpm.I didn’t think the cranks liked 12,000 on a 3120
Its possible, the FSM has not been updated in a while...Ok, I thought I read that they reduced the rpm’s because of bottom end issues but must have been for the epa.
Yes good point.Might have just been bs about the cranks not liking above 10,000 for a daily use type saw. I know they spin the heck out of them and 880’s for play saws
I believe the 3120 had really weak rods that would snap off at the piston pin if you spun them up too much.
That’s disappointing. I thought they could get at least 9.5-10hp out of it and shave a pound off the weight. Guess not thoughHey guys I read some technical specs in the german forum.
So the 881 is nothing special
8,7hp
10kg
Regular carb
Updated oilpump
Captive bar nuts
And the optical changes u already saw in the videos
Nearly the same price as the 880
