Interesting on that site link it state the 400 has a chrome cylinder. Anyone know if Stihl is moving away from Nikasil on the pro saws?

I was under the assumption that stihl used chrome cylinders, because they are made inhouse and or contractor. Mahle has the patient rights on nikasil

But male makes Stihl cylinders still don’t they? I mean they’ve always made some of them along with ks, gillerdoni and some of their own in house. Also if I remember right some of the older saws with mahle cylinders had chrome instead of nickosil.

Yes, MS 400 C-M is for sale in Europe since end of 2019.

I'm asking about injected saw like 500i some rumors says that Stihl preparing 400i or 300i. Maybe someone here can say something about it
I know for ms400 one of my friends own 400 and works well. It's responsive and powerfull saw comparing it with 362
Vibrations are only negative thnig for ms400 that I can say, but this is just my opinion.

Not for a long time I’m sure, the 500i isn’t here yet because they keep pushing it back. Also the ms400 not here so I’m betting it will be awhile yet
