I'd like to see a pic of the jugs trans furs just for the pleasure of learning. I don’t think I’ve seen one like that before..(what I can see of it in your pic)

as others say mastermind cylinder cleanup should/will sort it if you take your time..

it is quite rare it’s a open port 034 cylinder free for the taking if anybody wants it, I got a 036 p&c from shastonian on the way

Over and over. You've asked for advice. Get it. Then do your thing. Only after a half dozen threads across a couple sites. Send me the jug, I'll set it on the shelf until I have a builder for it.

Open port 1125 46mm cylinders aren’t that rare.

The debate about open vs. closed ports is something I don’t get into. They both run and cut wood.

I would venture into the 46mm vs. 48mm bore debate, but not today.
Yah he's a bigger is better guy. Probably scrap the OEM.

Gotcha, man.

I hope to build up two more this summer if I have time. Both will be 48mm variations (because I have them in the stash) and will be testing some AM parts again (muffler and recoil... I need to know durability of both).

Side note- beware of AM throttle rods and certain carbs. The rods aren’t perfect and cause idle problems. Those Zama fakes we have mentioned before are hit or miss, too.

that’s what’s coming is a oem 036, I don’t use aftermarket junk... you should know better than that. Why not put a Oem 036 p&c on there??? I’ll have 125$ total in the saw after seals. It’s common knowledge that the 036s are superior to the 034. But that’s right you don’t like stihls. I’ll send the junk jug to ya but I’m telling you it’s rough, doubt a acid wash and 3000grit would take care of it. Why u always hating on my posts?? This is where we talk saws is it not? Maybe you don’t have the same passion I have for saws...

I'm looking for help identifying a new parts saw I picked up. I think it's an 036 pro based on clear tank, 5mm recoil bolts and later 036 style muffler. Has the older non-compensating carb on it.

They cylinder is throwing me off and doesn't match any pictures posted in this thread. Its a mahle, 48mm and no decomp. It has the extended fin on the exhaust side so the flat top cover from my 034S won't fit. Has a landing for a decomp but different than shown in this thread.
