Not sure what you guys prefer or why on your square grinder wheels. I’ve had white, salmon and blue. White seemed to clog up fast, especially when converting round to square. Salmon is nice but hard to see the corner once in a while. Blue cuts nice, I haven’t had too much time on the blue, and it’s almost gone, so I’m looking to see what you guys like.

I’m using a white right now but I think I’ll go back to blue after it wears out.

Mine came with the salmon and that's still on it. I bought a blue one but haven't tried it yet. I converted a couple round chains on the grinder. I decided it was quicker and easier on the wheel to convert with a file and then true it up on the grinder.

Mine came with a blue wheel, and a spare blue, so that's what I run. I haven't tried any of the other ones, so I guess blue works for me. Lol

The blue holds up the best and leaves a pretty good finish. The salmon might leave a little nicer finish but it's easy to loose the working corner of it on an RSII.

White is really soft and I've never used the other ones.

If you can't see the corner on the stone just hit the corner with a black wax cool stick.

i use the salmon the most. the white and salmon are supposed to be the same just different color but i think the corner of the wheel wears off faster with the white wheel. i like the bkue but its expensive. if i am sharpening my chains that are just wood dull salmon. if im fixing a chain from someone else that had been rocked or ran in the dirt. i use the grey wheel because it doesnt overheat the cutter as fast as the white and salmon wheels do.

i usually just touch the corner with my glove it leaves enough of a mark to see the corner. i like the wax stick idea
