La-Z-Boy test pilot doesn't pay too well so I started helping my Dad doing landscaping at 10 years old. After high school I went to the Air Force. Since then I've been a Deputy Sheriff, city Police Officer, and now I help make electricity.

Where?

Superintendent for a turn key site contractor. That's my title. Worst part is, I do everything. Lowboy driver, dump truck driver, operator, welder, equipment mechanic, backflow tester and sometimes a laborer. The owner of the company even called me the President the other day. Not sure what i will be next. Everyday is an adventure.:D

What might the name of the Company be? Sounds like I know the guy, besides the fact I know the area very well

I work at my town highway department. We do all of our own roadside tree and brush removal unless they are too close to power lines, so I do work with saws at work. It's not every day mind you as we do alot of different jobs there, but we do our share. Winter time I drive a plow truck mostly when I'm not puttering around the shop. I have recently rebuilt an OE 346 and an older 394 that were doomed to spend the rest of their days on a shelf as they were tired and were replaced with a 550xp and a new 395 a couple years ago.

For all intents and purposes I seem to have opened a small side business out of my garage repairing OPE, ATV's, dirt bikes and the like... Guess I should get a sign up sometime! LOL!

Here's my plow truck..

Yeah, what's your record? We got a dip sh!t here that got 45 in one storm.

A good buddy of mine works for our local road commission.

He said they normally do all they can do to avoid taking them out.

Except the certain few locals who have nothing better to do that call the road commission and *b-word about stupid stuff. (I.E., they didn't now the ditch banks soon enough, there is 1" of snow on the roads and asking why they aren't out plowing, and complaining that when plows do come by it throws snow in their freshly plowed driveway)
It's their mailboxes where they speed up a little when there is slushy snow and as they pass those mailboxes.

Yea, that's enough to piss anyone off.

Around here, after the thaw the county does come out and fix all the downed mailboxes

I haven't got a mailbox yet, but I will say that wet heavy snow and slush does test the integrity of all of the mailboxes. Those propped up with bubble gum, fishing line, and duct tape usually don't survive a storm of wet heavy snow.

I have however tagged one illegally parked car. It was not intentional, just trying to do my job and clear the road. I was just an inch too close and the very end of the wing popped the tail light. Law was called as i reported it to my boss, pics were taken and law found that the car was illegally parked in the maintained portion of the road and I was not held liable. You can't see the wing at all when it's down other than using the large convex mirror on the front wing post. And that image is not really the best at giving you a good picture of what the very end of the wing is doing. When you're plowing 14 feet, you need room. Sometimes people who park where they aren't supposed to learn that lesson the hard way.
