Today I've been fighting battles with my dump trailer. So far I've finally found the reason for the electric brakes not working (of course after checking 31 other things) and now I have to put the dump control switch back together after jimmy rigging a repair on that. And then I had to remove and clean a half dozen connections on the relay and hydraulic motor. I finally raised the box and about half the firewood came out. I'll jerk the truck forward a bit to put the rest on the ground. Once I get the box empty, I need to do some sideboard repairs so it can be a chip trailer in a few days... When I get this trailer finished up, there's a 20' flatbed that needs to get non working brakes resolved too.

Been working on the dump trailer again today. Have the electrical issues sorted and second day of working on the chip box. I had a temporary "lid" I'd put over the top front of the trailer but chips would still wind up all over my truck if it was attached. I made the lid permanent and reinforced the side boards considerably too. So the way it is set up now, it's ok to pitch firewood into but not really suitable to load anything bulk with the Bobcat. It is going to primarily serve as my chip trailer. I have a half dozen large pines I need to take down on one of my rental properties. I'll need to climb them so am trying to loose a few pounds and get in better shape. I had "retired" from climbing but I don't really want to hire someone to do this job as it would be coming out of my pocket. One advantage of doing my own trees is that I can just do one a day and pace myself. I've already cut a lot of branches off these trees so the first 20' is just stem.

I'm tired of carpentry... taking a break to destroy some wood instead of making it look pretty!!!
