Franklin County. There are a lot coyotes around, and I’d be hard pressed to kill 55 deer in 2 nights without a lot of work. But maybe the deer population is suppressed more by hunting than coyotes.
What was the total legal "reported" harvest of deer in Franklin County last year during the first 3 day and second 4 day firearm season? Did your county have (2) 3 day doe/button buck road kill seasons later?.....

There is a reason coyotes have a 365 day season. Fing vermin!

First weekend was 761. There was one late antlerless only season.

So which species is an issue...deer or coyotes?

In December 1986 on the first day of the second deer season it was -12F. We legally harvested 13 deer. That was in the days of the lottery for paid permits but as a landowner our tags were free without a lottery. No matter what it was one permit... one deer per person with a shotgun. You had 6 days. You had to physically check deer in. Today you can harvest two deer, use a rifle, pistol, or shotgun, never check them in, and you have at least 7 days to do so. In many counties you have 13 days when you add in the two late seasons for button bucks and does.

Folks wonder why they hunt and never even see a deer.....

Finished grinding 5 loops

Made a shorter tooth stop to grind the rakers, with the OEM stop I had to shim the wheel out so far I couldn't put the wheel guard on.

Built an oil change tub to use on the farm. I’m kinda excited about this thing.

Miss Oldest Child and I troubleshot the clusterfukmess of wires that seems to be part of the issues with why the rear and side cameras aren’t working. Somewhere in this rats nest there is a short. Good grief lol. The precious owner put this all together and I’ve gotten used to flipping a switch and being able to see all four corners of the truck and then some on a screen so I’d like them working.

Also got the drone charger wired up and tested. It pulls 56a at 240v and makes the genny bark a bit. I’m very excited to put this all to work this summer.
