when I need something from Messick's they rarely have it in stock at the Abbottstown or Carlisle location, so I just order it online & just pick it up within the next day or two, the closest one is a 20-25 min drive for me.

If I need JD parts there's 3 Atlantic Tractor locations within 30 mins (closest being about 15 mins) from my house depending on what direction I go. They also tend to keep a LOT more in stock.

Atlantic tractor in Carlisle is probably the best JD dealer around here. I would drive past a few Deere country’s to go there for a machine

My buddy got some oak delivered to his bedroom this morning so I went over after work to try to help out. Ended up helping empty the beer fridge. They were both pinned to the bed. He got himself out, she was in for two hours. They are banged up but fine. Tomorrow we need to try to get something sealed up. Most of the damaged part is removed already.

I ate breakfast. Now I have to go work, a roll-up door for the shop is supposed to show up and hopefully I'll get it installed. And then I stacked up two big brush piles yesterday that need burning, hopefully without lighting the rest of the woods on 🔥.

What did I do today?.....I stopped working on the 582 'bout ten minutes ago...

Was about to get the alignment shims under the engine plate and was working the clutch and noticed the rear coupler was sliding for and aft on the input shaft of the trans.

It shattered at the pin hole. Maybe from fighting with the forward coupler pin.

Grrrrrrrrrr......

That's still a lot of wood!
I'm still going on the tractor, everything is done other than that I decided to do the brakes. A couple hours a side right? Nope, I'm 8 hours in and I'm still on the first side. I've broke multiple 1/2in extensions and a couple of drill bits and had to break out the oxy/acetylene torch. But on the bright side with a rebuilt engine, a overhauled transmission, and new breaks we should be good for a while. Right?

Edit: 3/8 extensions not 1/2.

I've got our roll-up shop door unpacked. It's spread out on the floor in 101 little pieces, I think for once I'm going to break down and watch the installation video.
