What's the point, You'll just better see the $#!t happening around You. :(
Good point, but my neighbors shouldn't have deal with a chainsaw-wielding blind man. Tuning by ear is fine and dandy, but felling by ear would just be showing off.

I bought a well used oregon 520,, $35USD it was set up to grind bandsaw blades.
so the guy fubared the vise doing that. cheeper to buy new vice than the piece parts.
so ordered a vice for a tecomec,, from the USA,,, some tariffs and stuff were added:mad:.
a first for me,,, lesson learned.
then i ordered a cbn wheel for it.
still less than 1/2 cost of a new grinder.
Grinder seems to work good.:clapclap:
So I ground 4 chains today..

You make it sound so easy! Just like service manuals:

Reassembly is the reverse of dissambly.

Oh, great, thanks, pal!
It's really quite easy and fast! Much better than the inframe engine rebuild we just did on the same tractor. I think we should be able to have it going tomorrow.

When I moved I put an 1800 sq ft house with a full basement, 10x20 storage unit, 10x15 shed with a loft, a one car and a two car garage in a 28x36 garage, 10x20 shed and and a house the size of a tent. I’m finally getting the garage set up. Lots of good stuff is getting trashed or scrapped but locals buyers are brutal so away it goes. I got one corner done. 975 sq ft to go. This is the first time in a few years I can use my drill press inside.

Well sir,......I repaired some solder pads on a 3bx this morning and listened to a couple sermons.

Then I finished modding a three point sleeve hitch and spring assist on a IH 582 CC.

Hung the Brinley 10" plow on it and,.....WOW....massive improvement from when it was on the 128.

When I first bought the spring assist I had to make a part that was missing and made it too short.....guesstimating from pics online.

Made another from some rusted scrap that got turned up in the garden,...a good bit longer to increase leverage. Tits outa ten!

Now to put the KT17 in and work up the drive shaft and clutch and figure what starter switch I'll use seeing as the 582 had a briggs twin16 that was mag ign. The KT17 is points&coil. Hmmmmmm......
....still need to plumb the pressure gauge to the engine.

The correct starter switch should be 925-3021.
