Good point, but my neighbors shouldn't have deal with a chainsaw-wielding blind man. Tuning by ear is fine and dandy, but felling by ear would just be showing off.

I bought a well used oregon 520,, $35USD it was set up to grind bandsaw blades.
so the guy fubared the vise doing that. cheeper to buy new vice than the piece parts.
so ordered a vice for a tecomec,, from the USA,,, some tariffs and stuff were added.
a first for me,,, lesson learned.
then i ordered a cbn wheel for it.
still less than 1/2 cost of a new grinder.
Grinder seems to work good.
So I ground 4 chains today..

Got tractor parts and replaced the starter ring gear. Pictures are of splitting it a couple days ago, classic torque limiter failure these tractors are known for.

It's really quite easy and fast! Much better than the inframe engine rebuild we just did on the same tractor. I think we should be able to have it going tomorrow.

When I moved I put an 1800 sq ft house with a full basement, 10x20 storage unit, 10x15 shed with a loft, a one car and a two car garage in a 28x36 garage, 10x20 shed and and a house the size of a tent. I’m finally getting the garage set up. Lots of good stuff is getting trashed or scrapped but locals buyers are brutal so away it goes. I got one corner done. 975 sq ft to go. This is the first time in a few years I can use my drill press inside.
