The lock works we'll see how much warranty it gives for the repair and also replace the rear wiper seal because apparently the fish in the trunk have too much water

I hate for animals to suffer, even ones I don't particularly care for (such as garden-munching groundhogs). You did the right thing. Compassion for a helpless animal is never the wrong thing, although it sometimes takes forms that we'd rather it wouldn't.

I bought a 242XPG Cat 1995 project, condition unknown really. It seemed to have the right top end, with luck I can check it off the "must have" list.

I also bought chain covers for 238 (the old ones with metal flag), 242 crankcases from 88, some top covers, and more chain covers, a 234 top end.

The week has been great and it will be even better when it all comes to an end.

I spent my day melting in the driveway because my air conditioned garage is a hoarder hell. Got my new wheels and radio in. The radio would constantly switch modes and go to max volume on humid days. I can’t decide if the wheels look right.

I drove from conshohocken to Mt Joy today to get one wire to finish my card. I drove through all the floods and chickened out here. I needed to go right past the overpass. The only reasonable alternate route had a tree across. 3.7” of rain in the hour before I got there.

Edit: I found a good picture of what I tried to get a picture of.

Attended a bent-shaft canoe paddle making class this weekend.

Started with scraps of wood, and strips sawn from a 2 x 6 at Menards.

Good instructor.

Still needs final sanding, and varnish.

Titebond III is waterproof.
Titebond II is water-resistant, but some people will use it for paddles, since they are varnished.



Marine epoxy (e.g.West System) is very waterproof, but more expensive, and fussier to work with.
