Started splitting some locust the other day

Then in a weak moment I went to our local farm store and replaced my 16 year old huskie 20 to. splitter with the 35 to. Dirty Hans splitter. Sold the huskie this afternoon. Right away. To my surprise I think the 35 ton cycle times is noticeably faster. I though it would be slower with the. Offer cylinder. The horizontal shat engine sure runs smoother than the vertical 5.5hp one the huskie had.

Split and stacked some wood today. Mostly filling the woodshed behind the house so Groundie has an adequate supply while I'm gone for the next 6 weeks. I also went through my closet and culled a large pile of suits, shirts and pants that will never fit me again despite my level of optimism.

I'm packing for my Sunday AM departure to Dayton, OH. 6 weeks of schooling up there and then another 2-3 weeks in Charlotte, NC and then Cincinnati, OH doing sims. At least I'll get paid once training starts.

This culvert had washed out and had several tons of dirt in the bottom.



This is after partially excavating it.



Dragged it several hundred yards to another creek crossing.



Finally got it in place.
