Drove back from CT. Was only home for an hour between returning from South America and leaving for a quick road trip to see our son run in a track meet. I'll confess we've driven a lot to see our kids participate in athletic events but this one over 1000 miles away breaks our record. Their team won the meet and he did well in the two events he ran so we were happy to be there for that. The weather was rainy all day and very windy. Snow after that but back here in GA it's warm and sunny. I've yet to go outside as I've been paying bills and reading mail. I'll head out soon to try and fix my chipper which threw an alternator belt. Gonna be a busy week playing catch up.
All those miles were well worth it! I'm in the middle of all that with you! Lots of traveling to watch the kids. Wonder how boring life is going to be when there all grown?

Oh, I don't think it will be boring. This is our youngest and he's a junior at the US Coast Guard Academy. After he graduates, he'll be posted somewhere interesting and we'll have to visit him there. Our daughter is living in MI and our other son is in Germany with the army. We hope to visit him June/July once we get some firm dates as he comes and goes to other places in Europe and who knows where... Meanwhile there's plenty going on to keep us busy here in GA.

Dropped a few tall skinny trees and had to climb 1 ash and take half of it down. It went good and also got to run almost a tank of fuel through the piped echo. It's a pretty quick machine

Cleaned my home office ( man I get a lot of junk mail). Started some flats for the garden. Sorted out tools, chainsaw and Holley parts. Burnt a pile of paper. And so on...

Cucumbers',cantaloupe ,yellow summer squash and zucchini.

I saw your garden pics. I'm not worthy.
Flats ..Got it i think ..seeds that are flat in there shape ? I grow a bit for sure...but its all seat of the pants gardening and I'm no expert. There is something very attractive munching something you have grown yourself.... Im pretty sure you feel the same to as someone who grows produce :).

A flat is what the seeds are planted in. If you go to a garden center and get a flat of tomatoes you are getting a whole tray of them.

Oh i see... this isn't a term we use over here. Nearest would be plants in "Module's" or a tray of "plug plants"

Got the tractor started after considerable effort and bush hogged a bunch of brush and saplings and a few small trees. Then serviced the Bobcat and pushed over about four larger trees, then cut 4 more down with the chainsaw. I was almost done bucking all that up when the saw grenaded. It appears that the clutch circlip must have left and I found no sign of the clutch bearing either. The clutch was in pieces, the oil pump is torn up as is the oil line. I left it until later as it was too hot to mess with. This is why I thoroughly test saws before I sell them. This one only had about 1/2 hour on it since I rebuilt it. It was working great up to the point it wasn't... Rats!

Please tell me you didn't get kissed by a chainsaw. That looks deep. Gonna need a few stitches by the look of that

Never mind. I just saw the thread you started. That sucks. Hope you heal up fast.
