Yea i think it's because it's more of a torque top handle saw than a high rpm saw like the 200t that's my guess. Lol
Never ran one, maybe I'll have to sell the 200's and get a couple of those:icon_pc:.
I like a torque saw, but I probably won't do that, but I might sell those and keep the 540 .
Probably neither though, choices are nice.

Lol. Or just ad to you're collection and just buy a 011avt and then you can compare it against your 200t's.

In the past I did watch for them, I like to try them all, just haven't gone after them much. Recently there was a very nice one not far from me that I was considering, but passed, maybe someday I'll get to run one.
Keeping on topic; I went out this morning and checked the mole trap and I got the second mole of the week, already reloacated ;) three chipmunks this week as well. What was great is the temp was 53 out :).
Have a great day guys, hope you all get lots done.

I wouldn't go trading any of my 200ts for one of those old top handles. Had one at a property I used to manage/maintain. Hadn't been run in at least ten years till I came along and dumped out the old pump gas. Fired right up with fresh fuel. It did cut well but is unwieldy compared to the almighty 200t. Last time it was run it did save the day, got my dolkita unstuck from a hickory snag over the creak bank. Only had miss makita with me so ran up to the shed and fired that ol beast up. Guarantee it hasn't been touched since!

I wasn't planning on it really :).
Good info, couldn't you remove the bar on the dolly, was it the 7910.
How are you Rob, good to see you around, seen you on the buzz too.

6401/7910 smurf. Could've removed bar, but was the only one I had there and I'd of just had to put it back on to finish salvaging the wood. Easier to go get the old one which wasn't far away and cut it loose. Wasn't stuck bad. Good to see you too fellow treebuzzer. Doing well all things considered, on the mend after a little accident. Looking forwards to getting back to work in a few weeks.

I get that if it was right there, nice to have an easy pass :).
I'm hanging at the house for the last week sick, some sort of crap settled in my chest.
Hope you get better quick, hard being down.

what kind of mole trap?
Just the basic ones. I got upset one day because they just kept pushing the dirt up around the little round dealy that triggers the trap, I went in the shed and found a miter box saw I've never used and grabbed the torch and made tow pieces that would fit just under the frame of the trap, I don't miss them anymore :applaudit:. It does take a bit more work to set the trap well, but the results are worth it.
About an hr after I got the mole in that post above I looked out the window at the trap and it was up again:b1:.

Slide a bucket over the trap and you will never miss one again or if you get tired of trapping them use shotgun traps. :camper:

Sat in the shop for about an hour this morning while the tech got our backpack blower running again. While there my boss asks, "Hey, did you ever get any of those saws or trimmers running that ol' Jack sent to you?"

"Sure did," I said. "I've got two of the saws about done. Why, does he want some of it back?"

"Well, he really loves that old Ryobi trimmer," the bossman says. "If you could get it running, he said he'd pay you for it... Boy, ol' Jack's got a lotta old saws setting around his place," he says with a wink. "Lotsa old Stihls with bars and everything..."

Methinks I'm gonna dig into a Ryobi trimmer next... thinking a couple creamsicles would make a pretty nice payment.

I have spent the second afternoon in a row today after work uploading videos to YouTube - well not really.

I log in to the Tube and end up watching one suggested music video after another - already spent hours and two afternoons.
My 2.1 channel PC speakers are getting a workout, the woofer on the floor under the PC table is bursting. whee.gif
I'm tempted to power up my Sony home theater amplifier, it's been condemned to silence for a year or two.

At least I made a huge list of stuff to look up and check out. ;)
