What is the minimum diameter of the grinding wheel on a silvey swing arm. It seems that I am out of adjustment on the side where the chain stop holder contacts the grinder frame. The largest diameter is about 6.75"
Should be able to wear it down pretty good

I have never bought a new wheel, so I have a question: Do they have any shape to them at all, or do you have to start from scratch?

Pacific grinding made them. They have been a favorite of most of the guys around here -(including myself) with square grinders . Unfortunately They have gone out of business. Madsen's still has some in stock at last check.

Well kids, I wanted a blue stone to get the smooth finish they produce. Just ordered one from Madsen's and they assured me there is no problem with the supply of blue ceramic wheels. IDK? You never know what to believe on the net...

I have a blue stone on the way. It could last me the rest of my life, especially, if I die young. That may just be a rumor too???

That's one thing I could tell from your profile is that your sideplate dresser angle was more vertical (blunt) then I had mine set up.
When I corrected that it really helped.

When you changed your sideplate dresser angle more vertical....what do you mean by it helped? Helped lining up the corners or cutting quality?

It helped the profile of the cutter, and if I remember right it doesn't cut into the straps as bad

It didn't cut into the straps is bad, It also gave a longer chip with more vertical side plate.
