I've been liking that chain a lot.
What kind of top plate angle do you have on that.

42 inner top plate
20 top plate
2 degree side plate
I’ve played around with the settings on the slides and dressers but always end up right back there at the factory settings.

Thanks, I'm around the same, usually a bit more on the top at about 25, cuts great and smooth as silk.

You get a pro sharp?
I wish, sort of, I'd be more than pleased to get a new simington, but this old one has made some great cutting chains and the learning curve is only a little harder than a round grinder.
What are you using.

Using a pro sharp has a pretty good learning curve with the way everything is adjustable, but the trade off is a better cutting chain normally more true side to side. If someone needs a manual for any of the Silvey square machines I think I have all 4.

After I sold the simington to @Armbru84 I picked up a pro sharp, but I've been using a file quite a bit lately
