Ok guys I'm used to machinist tools so I didn't have a protractor anymore and this was the closest I could find in town. I hacked it up so I could check to see where my dresser angles are for reference. Sorry no before hack pics. But you'll get the idea. Lol.

On a machinist protractor. Where you see 45 is labeled 90 deg. But that dosnt matter. I know the 45 is a 90 degree corner and this dresser sits at 30 deg on protractor so the dresser is at a 15 degree angle.

Ok new stone on and dresser angles changed. I know from talking and reading here. After I test ground the first chain and compared it against a stock stihl square ground. My cutter side plate has a lot more lean forward and the tooth has less angle. Making a lot longer ground top plate. Hope that makes since. So here's what I changed for the first go. IMG_0686.JPG

Somehow I need to give the tooth less angle this way. This is a ground tooth. View attachment 46514
That's fine. I like 25° top plate unless my goal is durability over anything else. Then really semi chisel is a better choice. How much forward lean do you have compared to the rail holding the chain?

And make the face of the tooth more blunt. So the purple arrow needs rotated up. This is ground so where my grinder is sitting right now. IMG_0690.JPG

I like less angle there also ,there is a 7/16 size nut on the chain carriage ,loosten it and pull it away from the stone as much as you can and still grind and it will look like this .
