Whats the green one?
It does look kinda green in the picture, but it's a grey.

I gotta figure it out before I trade for awhile. Lol. But I don't have any problems with that. What little I ran yours it seemed much easier. Lol.
Oh, I like mine ok too, but that looks like a really well made machine you have.

I ordered the brown wheel from madsens, along with some others. The brown is
resinoid wheel, has anyone used it before, will it wear my dresser out fast.
Pros cons of the brown wheel.

Brown removes material fast and can burn cutters. Add wax to it will help from that. The dressers last a long time. I prefer single point to rough the wheel in and multi point to dress it up after you get the angles.

This wheel is a resinoid wheel, not
vitrified like all my others. I was wanting to try some other wheels to see how they do. Have you tried the resinoid wheel, I'm little worried about trying it now?
I did get a new dresser also, hate to ruin it.
Thank you

I think that's what used to come with a new Silvey. They work good just have to be gentle if you're taking off a lot of damage. The gray waxed you can take .060" or more off in one pass.

I have a grey silvey, it's vitrified. This wheel I have now, looks reinforced.

Silvey recommends multi point only on SDM and prosharp. My guess is don't hog it out and take your time .;)

Have you used the brown wheel from madsens, the 80 grit one. I'm looking for a fast material removal wheel for heavy rocked chains. Or would I better off with the grey wheel?

I blunt rocked chains off with a 520.

I understand what other wheels can or are supposed to do. I don't grind for productivity. I've only used blue, salmon, and white. Any softer? Won't have my name on it. Hope that helps.

I take em back round if they get bad also.

Much easier to burn a cutter with a salmon wheel than a blue. I don't use the salmon wheel anymore, it doesn't hold a corner very long at all

I wish I could help you more, but I don't have the grinder your using.
I do like the salmon wheel. I've ordered the brown and blue. The brown will be used in my simington for rocked chains and converting. Figured it mite save time by doing this, then finish up on my other grinder. Hope it isn't a huge waste of time, but a rocked chain will take a toll on your wheels.
Maybe it has been said, but what is your "other grinder" . It seams we all set the angles a little different, and going from one grinder to another does not make sense to me.
