All I am seeing around me at work is wannabe pretty boys wearing their white socks pulled over their pajama/sweat pants staring at their phones screen not knowing nor caring to learn how to type up a new program, or edit an existing one, on their mills console!
And every following generation is getting worse.

The movie "Idiocracy" comes to mind thinking about the future they will create for their kids.

Were in the dyno stage now can see gains now in the wood and on the computer screen. Its common knowledge there are gains to be had.

Im suprised we dont have guys casting/machining cylinders testing on theyre one of kind flowbench then verifying on the dyno then in the wood. This is where the flip floppers come in.

The flip floppers dont run or work on saws for a living they do it for fun everything is possible here, You cant only fuels them more.

I will agree that it takes an extraordinary flip flopper. The norm is working hard trying not to work.

You can't effectively boost a piston ported 2 stroke. You need valves in the engine or the boost just goes out the exhaust. Go watch 2strokestuffing on youtube. I saw some nasty little 4 stroke chainsaw on the tubes the other day, you could in theory turbo that.

A supercharger and rotary exhaust valve seems totally possible but intake and exhaust systems get bulky and heavy pretty quickly. They also require more tuning. I could see it all coming together in a hotsaw. It’s probably been done.

Function-ish. As a sound suppressor, so slightly different design. Preferably hidden in a stock appearing muffler. I’d like a quieter saw that performs like ported one.

Yes. Louvred 1”ID pass-through glasspack. Stock appearing. With zero performance loss. I can dream.

My saws are loud. It beats me down after a while. And it’s my own fault.

I made this. I can picture it turning into a muffler with packing in it. Its got a 3/4" outlet. This fits the 372 385 saws. Ive never really tested it because my 372 pipe works so well

Tested the #2 muffler. The deflector muffler just put so much heat against the log and into my hand.
This 1" outlet tube fixed that.

Note that turbo saw guy hasn't done anything with it in a year. There's no video of it cutting with a turbo. You need an exhaust valve to prevent the boost from just blowing out the exhaust. You should lookup how a detroit diesel 2 stroke works. Anyone can bolt lipstick on a pig.
