The finished product of the 462 cover mod. Pleased with how it turned out. Sandblasted it with 220 aluminum oxide then ran it on the saw to return it back to color.

Wouldn’t you want a deflector on that , push exhaust forward , ?

Good question but the gasses coming from the factory outlet push those gasses forward at about a 45° angle. Perfect for a worksaw. I don’t like it blowing straight forward into the wood

Working n a 395 for a fella. The original muffler was toast, so I ordered a Duke’s muffler with screen. I hoped it would be an empty can, but no. @Duke Thieroff you could save some money by leaving the crackpipe out on these. Anyway, I started by drilling the spot welds, and then cut all the way around the deflector.
