I have a Neotec 395 muffler to do. If I put a red97 deflector in front of the existing one, will it bypass the raffle? I haven't taken it off yet, don't know what it looks like inside. Just looking for ideas. Thanks
I hate the way they sound when done that way.

Your saw might have an open can, so check on that. But back to your question, yes, it would bypass the pipe, but the pipe would still be taking up space in the can.

I am hoping it is but haven't had time to mess with it yet. Too many things to try to get done.
Just trying to have a plan for when I can do it.

Hmm. Is it too loud? Deeper tone? Higher pitched tone? Or none of the above? How do you do yours? I don't have any way of welding or brazing. Just rivet nuts and deflectors.

It sounds weird to me. Like the sound from the rear opening bounces off the front one.

Ya it’s probably creating a double exhaust pulse like an unequal length header on a Subaru…..that’s were subys get their rumble.

Bet if you punched a hole on the opposite side it would kill the “barbling” or possibly a diversion plate right in front of the opening to keep the partial exhaust pulse from straight lining out before the trapped/expanding one follows.
