I see all of the nice mods everyone makes on the outside, but how deep do those pipes protrude into the muffler? I was thinking that further in would help with noise control
About an inch or so depending on the size of muffler etc..

I gotta be honest. These piped "mufflers" are the silliest thing I've ever seen.
I begrudgingly had to shut down a fella cutting wood with one of those things on his saw at my gtg, it was deafening everywhere and every direction. Said if he wanted to race it, fine, but to sit and cut with it was not fair to everyone else that was running for cover. I think he understood what I was trying to tell him, if he could hear me that is. Lol

Looks like a great way to snap an exhaust flange off of a perfectly good cylinder to me.
