Today, my cat Rose crossed over. She has been sick with cancer since the fall, however she didnt really start going downhill until a few weeks ago. Rose is at least 14, maybe 15 or more though as I got her almost full grown in 2007.
She was witness to so many events in my life. I was barely into second year of grad school when she came along, no telling how many papers I typed with her in my lap. Got married and bought our first house in 2011, finally got a really good job where I could actually use my education in 2013. Had our first kid in 2015, moved to a farm in Madison County in 2017.
I am really sad, but I am so thankful she was in my life for 13 great years. We have other dogs and cats who we love dearly, but Rose is truly one of a kind.
