Less than 200lbs and a high exhaust.
Why do people frown on raising exhausts ? i just cleaned up/squared up the ports on an 036 once ,deleted the base gasket ,raised the exhaust a little over a millimeter and it ran stronger compared to when was stock ,ran a 28 inch bar on that saw ,

I don't know but it's almost taboo,I use to try and run a super low exhaust because I thought it gave me tourqe,I have certainly changed my thinking on this.
The 230lb of compression 066 with a exhaust at 101 was how I use to do it,now I can clobber that saw with 180lbs of compression and the exhaust at 96/98.
I like the way a saw runs with a higher exhaust, there free, not held back.
The 026 has the exhaust at 101 and 185lbs of compression and is as strong I think.

The 026 is different from most,I know @drf255 well and I know his numbers and he builds a monster 026 so I see a opportunity to try something new so instead of 107 and 250lb of compression we got 98 and 185lbs of compression.
It works too,I'm not saying that this saw is stronger than Al's because that ain't true,im saying there's lots of ways to do it with good results.

I would send you my address, so you could send me both saws, but then I would not need anything else, and that would be no fun, so never mind!

In all honesty, great job on both saws Jason, you got both ends of the spectrum covered!

Raising the exhaust moves the power up in the rpm,to me the fastest saws will make the most power at a higher rpm which turns the chain faster and that's what it's about
Your dead on there from a timber cutters stand point. And dead on with mucho other statements as well. Keep up the functionality and professional work guy!
