Deets - sorry if stupid question, but why did you cut the back strap at an angle like that? Not safe to cut sraight across? I only ever cut one leaner. Made my face cut, cut the heart out, then straight across the back. I chained it up nice and tight tho as I was honestly poopin muh pants a lil scared of it (probably out of my league to be cuttin it myself in the first place).

It's fine to cut even with the bore cut, just not above it. It's faster and easier for me to do a little upper cut, I'm in a better spot to watch the tree also

This ms280 will be getting ported after it pays for itself. But for now it definitely needed a simple muffler mod and a timing bump.
Here it is in complete stock form...

And after the muffler and timing adjustment...

I'm not sure it really needs ported at this point, but we'll see what the owner says after he gets done with his next order.

Nice. How do the 066s compare with the 064s? Are they a bit stronger? I know they are heavier.

They can be made to run about the same and the weight difference isn't huge.

066 should be just a little stronger than the 064

I was talking about 85cc vs 92cc

I wasn't! So the 066 cylinders run stronger on a 064 (smaller) case?

Also, did you ever finish that comparison of 064 cylinders? If so, I lost track of the tread.
