If you mean like a crank stuffer, they increase velocity thru the transfers.
Which given the operating charchteristics of a chainsaw it's probaly in most cases a good thing. It's also why the metal hogged out crew is of base.

What's the senses on circle cranks in a saw, worth it or not?
Say in a stock appearing race saw.
If the transfers are timed properly, a full circle crank will always increase maximum hp output, but usually at the cost of a loss of rpm range. It also probably depends on the original capacity of the case, and intake timing.
I have done one full circle crank so far, and its been a great experience!

A 066 is a velocity saw,it lives and dies on it so I'm curious whether or not a circle crank will be worth the effort and money.

Well on a tight case such as the 7900 Dolmar, with bottom fed transfers, I think a full circle crank would have a limited amount of effectiveness. For one, the case is already pretty tight, and then the crank at least partially obstructs the flow path to the lower transfers.
