I really hate that the US chose to use Imperial JUST because we didn't want to be like the British (who used the same measuring units as the rest of the world). It's also why we (and everyone else) drinks coffee instead of tea. We have a strange way of trying to prove we aren't British. Strangely, we continued to speak English, but I hear more and more Spanish being spoken these days.

Actually just finished off the pot, so I need to be honest, I'm having more than a few cups. Sorry not meaning to mislead

There is a specialty tool shop not far from me.... even they said it was special order. I can get 16mm, but not long ones that have a reduced shank.

Put it in the lathe backwards and cut your own reduced shank.

Besides, if you are just enlarging the ID of the sleeves you should be using a reamer.

Yes, and yes, but I'm not at the folks house now. I'll get there next week and I was hoping for a solution that would happen sooner.

I have a .625" reamer on order and now a 16mm drill.

and yes, I can put the 16mm drill in the collect and use a carbide to cut down the shank. But, not at the folks house. no lathe at my place.

:(

Well, just used the tool today for the first time and came away very impressed. Everything worked flawlessly and within 10 minutes I was done (taking my time). It couldnt have been easier and I'm going to recommend this to anyone that asks. Thanks Matt! It is well worth the money!!

Okay so this is where we are at the final box from Fred has been delayed it was supposed to be here last night but I'm not confident it's going to get to me at all it has been quote on the way to its destination and quote since Saturday and since it's not that far from Long Island to Connecticut I have to assume the worst we will see and I will keep everybody updated

Maybe try UPS Matt? You seem to have very bad luck with USPS.

I have a few packages that were shipped from Brooklyn, NY to RI that have also been either delayed or lost somewhere too. WTF
