Is there a better way to push a chainsaw to its limits?

with all your porting work, doing a couple milling cuts between stock and ported would be the ultimate test imo

That looks alot better for filtration than the flock.. ill have to pick one up.

what are you tuning your saw at if i may ask?
For working:
Ported 3120's get the 272 coil, adjustable carb and get tuned to 12,500-13,000
Stock ones with the 272 coil and carb modded get tuned to around 11,500-12,000

Then I tune in the wood for max rpm under load, with a nod towards the rich side of that tune

For playing .............. I play around a little with it

Pics of a melted button
The one that came in years ago was broke off he said then it ate it like mine did. Mine that melted is long gone, tossed it.
Might have dropped the TS420 button in the tool tray or a bucket, I'll look. That one with the tall top melted quick.

Here's one of mine, Had some chimp work on it. Has Briggs & Stratton coil, Holley 4 barrel carb thats fully
adjustable, Drilled all the ports to 3/4 inch, JB weld on top of piston to raise compression. She is a runner.

Aint you too aged and wise to be pickin fights anymore ? (Lord knows I am)

Love this piped exit, milling is great, stumping is clean and cool, bucking and felling makes for fresh air no matter how I've used it

The 394 west coastys spikes weigh like a pound. Nice bottom plate but that's just crazy all that extra weight

Found it interesting that several people say these saws have a problem in the heat of summer. First I've heard of it.

Very very nice work. Good call on switching outlet sides for that muffler, perfect for milling. Does it get rigght in your face??
