Drill 2 small holes on each side of seal and screw in drywall screws about 1 turn. Vice grips applied to the head and tap from behind alil on each side to work the seal out but the screwdriver method will work usually

Thanks guys, I was trying to search on line, and I almost got my computer hacked! It was very strange!

That tool look easy enough to make, and I picked up some extra screw drivers on my most recent visit to HF.

Bet I could use my square file to make that!

I just used the corner of the grinding wheel on my bench grinder.

Way ahead of ya Jeremy!

Now, I pulled the muff cover. There are no machine marks left on the piston, but the saw is running strong, and clean as heck, inside the muff almost looks new. Would you still replace the piston???

Deets, you want pics of the 046-D jug, or of the 460 saw???

I would
I bet the intake side is worn more than the exhaust side.
And for the cost.......it's worth it IMO

I'll take a pic of my seal "puller" for ya.

Get the piston kit from our buddy.
Think they're only $45-ish
The 046 piston is the only one that hasn't dropped at my dealer. Hoping after the new year they get a new price list that is updated.

Just to watch him port with the handpieces and how that works would be a very good start if u wanna start all this porting a saw fad/nonsense!!!! :) Ive showed John porting and he has taken up shop with me!!! Lol! He has ordered his own foredom kit, cc angle, and cc burrs! He said porting was very relaxing
