What length bar?I've had mine 5 years now I believe. Still my favorite saw
Thats obvious. Its heavy!! 390 is heavy IMO tooThought they were to heavy....lol
I agree. Your 390 felt as heavy as my 660. Guess I'm getting old and weak.Thats obvious. Its heavy!! 390 is heavy IMO too
118cc engine on the Dolmar 166?60mm 166 Dolmar probably has the best[emoji41]
But if used at the appropriate time like bucking, the weight helps drive it thru the cut.Thought they were to heavy....lol
That also seems to be the case with longer bars. Seems like I work, or bend over, less when bucking with a 28" compared to my 20" bars. The shorter bars will kick-back more than the longer bars too.But if used at the appropriate time like bucking, the weight helps drive it thru the cut.
By far, the most impressive saw I have run to date.60mm 166 Dolmar probably has the best[emoji41]
True story, chainsaw milling is a hobby and a 'ell of a lot of work .For serious milling.......buy a band saw.
.
I've got a Mac 650 geardrive that I modified to fit an 8 tooth 1/2" spur from a Homelite .It's not slow like most, has a 2 to 1 reduction but that pot licker is heavy as lead .It will chew through anything and never hiccup .Shelf queen most of the time .Most torque in saws that I've ran has to be a old gear drive saw of any variety. A old Mac geardrive is unbelievable. Slow but you can't slow it down.
