There is something therapeutic regarding a high displacement saw in a big log just about like a roundy round on a Harley at about 4500 rpm's just a gettin it .I've got 5 saws over 100 cc ,three at 99 cc's and heaven only knows how many at 80 and 70 ish .More than I can keep exercised .Because of the timber size in these parts it's hard to justify breaking out a big gun just to make a few cuts .Odds are if and when I do more than likely I'll have to rebuild the carbs first .

I have delt with this in more modern 2t’s, and the side cut out’s short circuit out the exhaust on the sub exhaust, or triple ports. They run but are way down on power.

Al it won’t run well, it may run, but it will be a dog!!

I agree - the shape of the LRB piston is almost identical to the first run of 101A pistons, which were used in some industrial applications.

How they ended up with that cut-out on the exhaust side is beyond me. I doubt it would help scavenging. Of course you can't install it the
other way because there'll be a huge free-porting issue.

If they just didn’t drill it all the way through it would be ok. Or if they cast in the boss in like the oem sp125 piston. And it look like it’s for a press pin, kart style, so it won’t work with the sp rod! Or else the pin would not be retained, no keepers, so it could slid out.
