I used one in a poulan 4200 here recently. Other than sharp machining edges and the locating pins not being fully seated, it wasn't too bad. The wrist pin fit on this piston was very good. Can only speak on this one for the 4200.

I don't think I'd want to take a chance on a LRB South American piston in a 125. That's just my gut feeling.
Me either! Plus the major design flaws! The hole in the exhaust port side is a problem, and I think the pin design is for a kart style press fit pin into the rod meant for bearings in the piston, and that is not the 125 style.

Or pulled from the grave… And almost sold for a grand! LOL

I remember about 15 years ago when I got into macs, I could find these for sale under 500 for a runner! But what 20 year old with a mortgage could afford that then? Now I just see them as something that would look pretty on my shelf. Besides, I'd rather spend that money on a road trip. I hear there are a few around your place...

I remember 10 years ago buying a couple a couple of strong runners for well under $400 on Ebay.

You were definitely money ahead to buy a house at that age! $500 was/is a lot for an old saw! The saw market is crazy sometimes on these. I picked up a decent condition 125 7ish year ago for $50 and it had a nice 36” bar, had it running in less than 15, minutes after getting it home. And about 10 years ago I got a free one, that was busted up, got it running but the chrome pealed. And now you can’t touch one! Lol

There are a few around here, and maybe even some spicy ones, if I call terry I can build a few more! Lol just hasn’t been a priority! Lots to see out here Steve! Hopefully things will get back to normal soon!

I bought my 2 125's long enough ago they didn't go for much .One I did do a lot of work on like making a cast iron sleeve for it but the other one basically nothing but a paint job .Both from the PNW . The Homelite 2100 S in my avatar was inexpensive also but again that was 12 to 15 years ago .

Not to derail this thread...
But would you have any 2100/2000 parts?

:) You can accumulate a ton of stuff in a life time of collecting junk .At now 73 years old I might be lucky, real lucky to get another 20 years on this side of the soil .I doubt most people would have a clue of what I have from Caterpillar tractors to Indian motorcycles plus heaven only knows of old chainsaws .It will all go for junk price ,my kids won't make much from it .However old dad did pretty good with the stock market and they'll never again have to work unless they wanted to--which they will . They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree ,I'm the third generation to do that .The fourth and fifth are standing in line .They will not fail either .

Another one lives - this is my very last oversize SP motor, also .030" over. It came from a smashed saw given to me by a long time local timber faller that smashed it in 1979. It sat in a box in his shop for 30 years before I got it.
