They're usually on ebay. I think I was searching for parts for a Super Pro 81 when I spotted it. It may have been Bryce that did the re-pops and was selling
them for $18 apiece.

It's coming together - this build was more for me to get familiar with the Macs again so I can build up the two old kartsaws and CP-125 that were my old man's.
Ya the nos ones seem to go for $25-40 depending! Lol

She is starting to look great! The other builds will be fun!

I'm looking forward to the CP build that was your dad's.

The CP build will be interesting because my dad did the exact same thing that you're doing with your saw, only he did it in 1977 (lol). He
shoe-horned a CP engine into an SP chassis. He used a nine-port kart piston though. He also used an electronic unlimited coil off of
the one of the shoebox saws, like the Timber Beast or Pro Mac 650.

I've got some really interesting NOS kart pistons I'll post pictures of tomorrow night.

That's going to make it even better. Interesting about the coil set up. I have a couple of those saws here.

Am excited to see that too! Every time I run my chrome bore saw I am nervous the chrome will flake or lift, have a cp block shroud and decomp ready if needed, Mike got my other, and am happy he is going to get good use!

I think I have a couple Mike. I'll be home tomorrow and check.

We can meet up in Roseburg soon if you like, Jay.

Well, the saw is complete and a runner, but needs a few things touched up: The current clutch is pretty well worn out, but I've got a new replacement (somewhere), and the
air filter needs replaced but is functional. I need to swap the handle out for a better one later (this one has been clobbered and has a saw cut in the top, but is working).

Overall though, I'm pretty happy with it - here it is idling, after its first start-up:

Here's a couple of cuts in Silver Maple with a 28" bar and chain:

Looks and sounds great Jacob.

Awesome! Great job!

Thankee, men of McCulloch....

I have an RWJ-4 carb here I think I'll try on it. I was looking at an SDC-80 but it would need
converted from internal to external pulse and the tank would need a modification to clear the
high-speed screw. I think I can mod the RWJ-4 in a way that the tank wouldn't need
some sort of grinding.

That's what it is running now and it's doing pretty good so far, but I think I can get more out of it and keep it under the lid...

A couple more notes - I was able to get new O-rings (1 7/8" x 1/8") for the fuel cap from the hardware store. For a duckbill valve,
I used a valve from a Stihl brush cutter that goes inside the tank vent. I'll find the Stihl part number for it. The rim of the opening to
the tank is pretty rough from moisture damage, so I'll lightly block sand that later to make it even.
