Everything is made in China. Caterpillar likes to be called American made. They're not. They have alot of Chinese and various other countries making parts for them

Perkins has made engines for them for years. Theses big corporations are multinational and have zero forks to give about you, me, or borders…

Wiseco cranks have never been seen as a great option, a few quick searches can find some reviews and issues…

Their pistons are top notch, I like them in off-road and saw applications, love them. Cranks have never been their strong suit.

When I was into dirt bikes, Eric Gorr built a KX250 motor for me. It became a 265 then and scary fast. He might could help on where to get some pistons.

Unfortunately, I think you have them reversed.
Restoration is really were its at , it both keeps( potentially) good machinery out of steel recycling plants that end up over seas and it doesn't contribute to the current throw away culture.
Doing what I can with old saws I find, but finding time for everything else in life is difficult, sometimes the convenience of new is nice but I know I'm trading my freedom for some of that convenience.

Society has changed, but the abilities to have a positive mindset, work hard, care for others haven't. They are simply dormant until that one spark is ignited. I will agree that if you want to see that spark ignited it doesn't happen easily. Too many expect easy. Thankfully I was raised by my Dad and grandmother.....she was hardcore.

And then, on top of it, is the government regulations, which are often absurd.

Just look at the MTA or government housing, with tons of money pumped in, and nothing but Shi* coming out!

If we could produce quality products that did not cost multiple times what chinses stuff cost, we could win back a lot of buyers.

When an American product cost 5 times what a Chinese product costs, folks are going to take their chances, and sometimes they will win, and sometimes they will lose.

its the parents who did not correct or discipline their kids
the parents who let their kids watch tv and play video games while handling them over a allowance
