Ran the 2100 in wood today after fixing a few things. Almost all good. Hadn’t tried the manual oiler until now and found it was stuck. Hard. Auto oiler does the job though. Looks like it’s missing a pre filter or something. Any hints on freeing up the oiler? Where to find pre filter?

No bar studs, strange 'air filter', weird handles, extra holes in the case on the front and more...

Anybody seen anything like this before?

Looks like someone was using it to power something else, like a poor-man's generator.

I don't think so, I have a couple of 372s I have worked on and they didn't have the rubber buffer on this side, just the screw. There is a knob in the inside of the crankcase on the other side that gets one.

Yea I knew the 372's don't have one but I wasn't sure if I lost one or there was never one there .

Howdy Husky fellas, I'm currently working on a JRed 2171 that's missing a few parts, and was wondering if a Husqvarna 372xp (non x-torq) top cover will fit on the Jonsered even with the j-red recoil.

Figured since my saw is missing the top cover and air filter, I'd upgrade to a high top with HD filter, and dye it black to match.

If you use the Johnny starter, no. You might find a 372 starter too.

Good day all.

I bought a "2100/298" cylinder of the bay it showed up yesterday. As soon as it came out of the box I knew it was no a 2100 cylinder, the bore was to small. It's a 285cd, that means a 52mm bore.

The seller said I could send it back for a refund. He feels bad about it. I told him let me check and see if anyone wants it first, it would save him the return shipping.

So, if anyone is interested in the cylinder, it's OEM and the bore looks good. You can have it for my cost, plus shipping.

I can grab pictures if anyone is interested.

I paid 69.00 for it.
