I think you have right Randy.I'm not sure either Chris. I think the newer one's have plastic cages though. I bet @Tor R can tell us.
by putting a 272 on it only boost it up 8 cc more , from 66cc to 72cc , is it really worth doingBig bore it. 272,,52mm jug N slug.
Lots of power in a midsize nimble saw. Make sure da crank N bearing s are in good shape ..
Definitely will put a cheesy AZZ grin on yo face when you bury it in sum hardwood.
I don't know about you but I would never turn down a little extra. Oh wait were still talking about saws?by putting a 272 on it only boost it up 8 cc more , from 66cc to 72cc , is it really worth doing
yeah but have to buy every thing to do the 272 , and some say 266 stuff bolts on ,no sweat, and others say .need 272 carby and a few other bitsI don't know about you but I would never turn down a little extra. Oh wait were still talking about saws?
Yeah and honestly, you have to ask yourself if your going to use it enough to pay for the change over.yeah but have to buy every thing to do the 272 , and some say 266 stuff bolts on ,no sweat, and others say .need 272 carby and a few other bits
if i new exactly what i needed to do the conversion that would be better
would want to use it for slabbing if possible , not real big stuffYeah and honestly, you have to ask yourself if your going to use it enough to pay for the change over.
Do you have any other saws that are bigger? If not you get the big bore kit for the 266, then you can get a 20 and 28 inch bar for it and be super setwould want to use it for slabbing if possible , not real big stuff
Put another 266 top end on it. A 266 is a hot rod from the factory.Picked up a Husky 266 SE which needs an other P/C on it
would like more power/torque so what is the best thing to do
TIA
Peter
They're just M4 & M5 socket head capscrews. Getting all the right lengths is the trick. Fastenal. Grainger. EBay is where most of mine came from.Do you guys have a source for husky fastners. i have to find bolts for just about every saw i work on for people and they are 3-4 times more than sae id like to buy a bulk supply just to have them
