The owner of the Husqvarna 365 Special that is with me for maintenance, my very good neighbor, friend and two decades long firewood supplier, died two days ago.
Funeral was today.
He was 42, fought a long and hard battle against the big C. He was OK for a while, then it all went from bad to worse.
R.I.P. Antonio
He was a huge Scania V8 truck fan.
He found the Dolmar PS-7900 I got recently for me.
That's very sad. Sorry for your loss. Thoughts and condolences from Ohio, USA.
Sorry to hear Wilhelm.
Thank You guys!Sorry for your loss.

Looks like a Mahle jug.I picked up a 266XP today that had some obvious hit scars. Grill broken on the FW and hand bar was skewed. But it ran fairly well so it came home with me.
A couple deeper peeks at home and found some sign of a good deal. Where I’m curious is the cylinder. Dirty at the base butt supper clean other wise. So I started to think it may not be original. I suspect it is original because it is forge marked and stamped at the plug.
Anyone interpret these for me. Is this original cylinder?

The big foreign p/c manufacturers I know of are Mahle, KS (Kolben Schmidt/Piston Smith), and GilardoniThere was also another company in Germany that was owned by Mahle that produced cylinders for Husqvarna, can't remember the name.
I was given a 41 last year and I guess the 36-41 saws were actually build buy Poulan .View attachment 315247Can anyone give me any info on this little 36. Followed me home for free yesterday. This is my first husqvarna.
What kind of info are you looking for, does it run?View attachment 315247Can anyone give me any info on this little 36. Followed me home for free yesterday. This is my first husqvarna.
Is crankshaft the same for Husqvarna 235 and 236?
And what other parts are interchangeable? Only cylinder and piston are different or?
Yes it runs. I'm gona change fuel lines as it has a fuel leak somewhere around the carb. Probably open the muffler up some and just run it after that. What kind of info are you looking for, does it run?

The 136 I have, I widened exhaust and intake a little along with the muffin mod. Very conservative gains and TBH I wasn't expecting much. If that is your first Hookie, don't judge the brand by it. Thank you for the info I always forget about the acres page.
the 36 will get the muffler done and I might play with shaving the flywheel key a little to advance timing figure if I screw it up it's a saw I got from someone's junk pile so no big loss. The 136 I have, I widened exhaust and intake a little along with the muffin mod. What did your muffler mod entail? I just tossed the spark arrestor in the box of misfit parts and pried the slot in the side open wider with a big flathead. I'm sure theres more flow to be had but it was just a quick job before I took to the woods today. The 136 I have, I widened exhaust and intake a little along with the muffin mod.
