What part of Ohio ?

Sorry about that. Missed this. Dead Central South down by the Ohio river.

Been setting in the stands with a crossbow after Thanksgiving. Notta so far.
But Mon morning gun season.

Lot of out of state folks down here anymore. TN truck tags mostly it seems etc buying up the farmers leases.

Comes to that I wont hunt anymore I guess. I grew up old school. Either own the land or you hunted on land with permission of folks you know.
But cant blame them for rolling in the $.

Hard not to say yes to someone when they offer you big $ to hunt your stand for a week. ;) Just cant do it.

Just remembered this. That show Buckmasters leased behind us once. Jackie Bushman I think is the shows host.
We dont know if it was him or someone in his group but bro left a note on his stand move it or lose it off his land.
We should have bought that land but didnt. grrrr Cant afford it all.

Just like now there is 170 acres for sale that buts into my place. We can hunt it now as friends with owner, but some day it will be gone I figure.

I'm a mil/Mil guy now. All my new scopes are going to be that. Quicker calculations to dial.

Right on, mil turrets with a mil-dot reticle.

I used to like reticle's that like the GAP or the TMR, but after spending time in the woods and shooting targets in the brush it's easy to loose the reticle.
It's hard to loose mil-dots

I like the simpler reticle Vortex uses in their PST. The nightmare MLR 2 is one I want to get time with. I looked at it at a store and think it would be awesome.

Any of you guys or know anyone into these Springfield 03 A3'sView attachment 42323
That's a good foundation for an excellent rifle, given that the rest of the original furniture seems to be missing! I'd toss the barrel too, have the action blueprinted and make it into something fun like a 6.5-06, .338-06 or 9.3x62mm...

The barrel is a new two groove. The action is a demilitarized that I was able to save. It's all stuff I'm looking to be rid off.

How was the action "demilitarized", given that it's a bolt?
