I find them both to be costly...as well as some of my other hobbies. :(

My two hobbies are firearms and saws.

Hell, I have more invested in one of my rifles with the scope than all my saws combined.

Thankfully, working on saws helps fund my shooting.

But Lisa doesn't need to know that:D

I gave my grandson the only high powered rifle I had left. My favorite brush gun, a .44 magnum lever action got stolen.......

Hell at least I still have my .22 mag. lol

Are you GTG with long guns Randy?
Are you just not allowed to own handguns?

Back to mine and Genius' comments a little while go, and not trying to derail, but it seems the expensive hobbies always wanna jump on my back like a big ol' silverback. If anyone has an interest in telescopes, obviously the bigger the better, and the skies the limit (pun intended) on price. It can get very costly real quick. Eyepieces, some upwards of $200-300 dollars each is the name of the game in this hobby, as well as quality 2x and 3x Barlows. But what you see is incredible. Here's two scopes of mine that'll get it done. Amazing what you can see. First is an Apertura 10" Dobsonian and second pic is an Orion 8" Equatorial mount, Skyview Pro, Go-To computer driven scope with a 14,000 object database.

Hey, come to think of it, not a derail at all...I could lug these big, heavy bastards to the shooting range and use them for spotting scopes to see where rounds are hitting while sighting scopes in. ;)

I enjoy shooting and reloading with my buddies and the kidos.

It's been years and years since I did any kind of hunting. I work outside every day and I hate being cold as it is, plus I got all the beef a man could ever eat walking around my back yard.

Exactly Ross. I am clear to own long guns......but I will never be able to legally own a hand gun. I do have a .45 black powder revolver that I shoot .44 sabots out of. It's pretty cool. If it don't hit the intruder.......it will scare them to death. lol

For the record........there is no such thing as paying your dept to society. But........I did what I did.....and that is all on me.

I heard that. Certainly understand that unlimited beef comment, no doubt.

your gonna offend the liberals on the site with a gun and hunting section.

LOL

Someday you'll realize that there is no such thing as a liberal......or a conservative. Two wings of the same corrupt bird. They play the two "sides" against each other so that they can keep you distracted while they do whatever the highest bidder wants done.

That's all the politics I'll be a part of here. lol
