And I've figured out real quick those two directly correlate. So it makes it hard to tune lol
Its easy, if it'll idle now you're halfway there. It needs enough fuel and air to not turn the chain but accelerate without a stumble. It needs to be lean enough as to not pool gasoline in the case so be sure to let idle then tip it all up and around and see if it'll stumble.

I might order a huztl big bore kit and get a 56mm piston with the correct skirt length and grind the crankcase till it works

Let me emphasize that again, the number don't mean anything grasshoppa, 4stroke is the import and part... My 350 will 4 stroke @14,200 however the way its ported, it has more torque (IMHO by the feel of the hands) tuned at 13,6-13,800. I tune it so its in its sweet spot and still runs at the end of the day.

I agree Mike, I got a tach and don't ever use it other than for curiosity, it's pretty much irrelevant for tuning as far as I'm concerned. Go tune it in some wood

Well, I think the smoke and fumes from the basement test-firing of my Craigslist forced-air heater I bought the other day should clear by the time that Tammi gets back Thursday. [emoji15] Works a lot better with the water/diesel mix dumped out and fresh fuel in it. The clue was when the flame went out and it started blowing water out the front. [emoji50]

Morning midlanders!

A balmy 24 here in River City. Supposed to get above freezing by afternoon.[emoji57]

Ham fisted geezer broke the clutch getting it off the Poulan.[emoji37]

ModifiedMark identified it as a 335. Crome bore, single ring. Piston kits are available.[emoji106]
