There are now some digital micrometers, makes it easy for us hillbillies that have a hard time reading the old-fashioned kind! They advertise to be accurate to .00001 of an inch.

The day I don't learn something useful for life, is the day I'll die!

I bought a Mac digital dial indicator for degreeing camshafts. Used it once and went back to using my old dial one. Wonder if the digital micrometers are any better

I got the crankcase and cylinder and clutch flywheel etc. But the small details. Idk
Post up a pic of where you're at, along with what parts you're wondering about and we'll give you some help. 660 is pretty straight forward once you've done it

Surely they would come with a calibration block of some sort, right?

There's always the sandpaper and flat surface method.

A "honest" squish measurement of .014 should be fine on that saw; I've safely run as low as .012, that is measured by cranking the saw over with .030 solder in squish band, and bottom-end of saw good and tight. I might not chance it either with Chinese bearings.

I'll be in Viola Saturday, that's pretty close!

I went to buy an OEM wrist pin bearing but they had none of the correct size. So I bought the OEM tension and the part that screws on and off for $30.50 and left lol while I was there a misled customer of theirs was asking about people that work on saws and I started to say something... But they have an in house mechanic(who sucks) so I kept my mouth shut. Don't wanna piss them off.
