Good morning got a skim of ice on the mud puddle. Lite the wood furnace last night 1st fire for the year.

No frost here, but we did run the pellet stove overnight......quite cozy.

Nephew should be here in about 30 minutes or so. Supposed to go 30 to 50 today and sunny. Hope for calmer waters today since my back is still funky from Wednesday. May have to invest in some suspension type seating since I'm getting older. Keep warm today.

Not to bad. Had to change my therapy appointment yesterday morning due to the icy conditions outside. Sutures come out next week then the following week I’ll start walking again.

Any thoughts on pressure treated lumber in regards to the chemicals used for treatment? It is time to replace my trailer floor....maybe. CCA treated lumber is old school, banned in 2004 for residential application, due to containing arsenic, usually considered the best. It is still available, but harder to find. I did my trailer with CCA in 2011ish. ACQ or any of the new treatment chemicals are way less carcinogenic (EPA approved), but hard on fasteners and steel, as they corrode the fasteners and steel. I can get ACQ treated lumber anywhere...

I bet there is a nice pile of white oak boards up around the Carthage area…

Didn’t you say that you had the keys to a shop in that area ???


If @Hedgerow can’t help you out, I am pretty sure there is another fella in SW MO that cuts a few boards from time to time.

Oak will cost you more ( unless @Hedgerow is out of town ) but will last 3-4 times as long.
