In my experience with burning crp ground, if all the green needles get burnt/cooked the cedar tree is done for, if even a hand sized patch of green needles survive the fire the tree will live on.

As far as cutting/mowing them, again in my experience, if you cut them below the lowest branch they are done for & don’t grow back.

Well.... the fair sized, millable examples we burned revived after burning the field and their branches burned themselves. Maybe it's different in Iron county lol

I need to change over the implements on our garden tractor and put the chains on it.
Frozen flaky moistures coming down, and it's nearly thick enuf already to nearly have the green look of the lawn covered.

I was hoping for enough of a freeze first to put at least a little frost in the ground. I'm pretty sure that didn't happen.

Now I'll need to pick up some fresh non-E, for stuffs, including the fun SNO-machines.
