If ya got money go to the tax auction nexr August after the July listing in the local paper. You may find what you want as far as a few acres 3 years past due on county taxes. Takes a year wait for the right group of people ( owners, heirs for example) to come pay for what winning bid was + interest 4 buyer. 1 day past year it is yours free and clear. There are also houses in towns,cities same type of thing.
There's a little more effort after your bid wins, like making every effort to let previous owner what's going on.Finding an address that they moved to and stuff. Been told by a blind guy who was an accountant about this stuff so I may not remember enough

We're getting/got a fine "misting " of snow, and it's not seeming to be enuf to affect the roads, thank goodness.
Right around 30f for today and cooling into the teens quickly after sunset.
Yep, this is the annual mess just in time for those extra longer distance travelers.

Oh and the coffee couldn't be much better, unless we were on a tropical beach maybe !
