Any thoughts on pressure treated lumber in regards to the chemicals used for treatment? It is time to replace my trailer floor....maybe. CCA treated lumber is old school, banned in 2004 for residential application, due to containing arsenic, usually considered the best. It is still available, but harder to find. I did my trailer with CCA in 2011ish. ACQ or any of the new treatment chemicals are way less carcinogenic (EPA approved), but hard on fasteners and steel, as they corrode the fasteners and steel. I can get ACQ treated lumber anywhere...
Maybe use stainless steel deck screws.

I bet there is a nice pile of white oak boards up around the Carthage area…

Didn’t you say that you had the keys to a shop in that area ???

If @Hedgerow can’t help you out, I am pretty sure there is another fella in SW MO that cuts a few boards from time to time.
@Sawdust Man

Oak will cost you more ( unless @Hedgerow is out of town ) but will last 3-4 times as long.
I have already scouted Carthage out, 16 footers of oak are unobtanium at my honey hole in Carthage. SW MO is a long way from home, and not a lot of 16 footers to be had, if any. @Sawdust Man, do you have any 16 foot white oak boards

I can donate several gallons of used motor oil for you to treat your board with if you want to go that route. Been getting ready to burn some brush piles to clean some areas up otherwise.

Nope, unfortunately.
Good 16' white oak logs are rare as hens teeth.....all the straight white oak logs get made into whiskey barrels it seems.
Trouble is, the stave mills pay a premium for the stuff so I'd have to charge a shocking price for trailer decking.

I say go with pressure treated of some kind......and whatever fasteners are required.

Family biz pressure treated a lot of wood over the decades. Load container with wood, pull a vacuum in container turn on internal spray to wet down wood open valve to release vacuum. Liquid soaks into wood from lower pressure in the wood. That's how it was done.
Temp up to 34°f may get 20 more of dem degree things Inna few hours
Good morning

Good morning folks. Cloudy and 33f, maybe 41f a bit later.

Might be a good day to work on some scary OPE, chainsaws don't ya know. The crankshaft seals that were needed for one showed up, so might as well used them before I loose-em.

Good late morning folks. Coffee pot has run dry for this morning, but supplied the hoped for kick.
Cooler temps, especially overnight are expected in our near future and may be here for a while. This is typical, just in time for some higher travel days.

After looking underneath, I just decided to replace the only board completely rotten. Hope to get another year or two out of the rest. We will see. Only cost me about $12 for the board
