In my experience with burning crp ground, if all the green needles get burnt/cooked the cedar tree is done for, if even a hand sized patch of green needles survive the fire the tree will live on.

As far as cutting/mowing them, again in my experience, if you cut them below the lowest branch they are done for & don’t grow back.

Well.... the fair sized, millable examples we burned revived after burning the field and their branches burned themselves. Maybe it's different in Iron county lol

I was hoping for enough of a freeze first to put at least a little frost in the ground. I'm pretty sure that didn't happen.

Yes, jigging brush piles. Hard day in one sense trying to find a place out of the wind. Wasn't too bad early this morning, but that lake can be real bad if wind comes up north or south.
