Good morning y'all. I cut a nice load of hedge yesterday morning. I'd picked up some used MS250 and 251s in the last several months. I'm pretty impressed. The 250 with an 18" bar and aggressive rs chain was cutting through 10" seasoned hedge very well. It's a really underrated saw in my opinion. My buddy likes the 251 and uses it in his tree service company. For $175 or under I think the 250 and 251 are worth the money. I wouldn't pay the new price though. If I was building up a fleet, I'd buy good, used 024 and 026.

2 years and out.. there are 150 year old poplar barn beams out there.. it’s all a matter of where you use it.

Good morning folks. Rain's are taking a 1 day siesta for Fathers Day at our homestead location. Yesterday total 2.25". Claiming a warmup to near 90f today, and then there is more liquid sunshines claimed for every day of the next 5, at least this morning claim.

No, have you? Barn beams are not what I consider a moist environment, but you aren't boat building either.

My closest use of non-treated pine, in a non or semi-moist environment, came in the form of a trailer I bought new; the floor lasted 4 years tops; like step through the floor rotten. My treated pine floor is going on 12-13 years.

At 10 years old, I got bad boards on a deck.

Some still ok, but some are rotten as hell..
