I’ve heard of 400 + bushel corn grown on this type of system.. just not sure I want to invest the $2000 per acre to see if it’s all that and a bag of chips..

Thinking bout it..

That's pretty pricey. But with the weather these days...

Couple guys tried it here. Worked till the gophers found it. Ruined their investment.

Oh hell.

It’s been rumbling & putting on a light show since around midnight here. I could actually hear the rain in the gutters over the a/c running.
I will check things out after a bit, we are supposed to to run 55 cow/calf pairs the chute this morning.

I just dumped 2” out & it’s still raining. Cattle got put off until after dinner.

I just walked the corn field..

The experts were correct.. Not in trouble yet, but absolutely ready for another 2" of precip..

Plants have 8-9 rows of leaves on them some 6' others 4' depending on how much they drowned at germination.. But, the individual plants look very good. This is where I would turn the water on if I had it..

It's been a busy mostly indoors day for me. My shop has A.C. and has stayed right on 73F. Outdoors is 95F and tons of humidity. So, I repaired and serviced four saws: two Echo CS-355T, a Husky Rancher 455, and a fine running Stihl MS660 Magnum. These are all owned by friends who run a tree-service business. I also sharpened three chains and dressed four bars. I love this hobby and I'm bushed. :)
