I am going to build a weight bracket and use them on the rear of my mower when using the blade or snowblower.

Hopefully we don’t need to use either one this winter, but that is wishful thinking.

Good morning Gentlemen!
Been awfully busy lately...

I did get to work a little at home on Saturday, and we got the repaired engine sat back in my Sprinter. We are doing a full emissions delete on it. We welded up some block off plates for the EGR lines, and replaced the CAT with a piece of pipe.
Still have to hook everything up, but making a little progress.
The colder weather has not helped much with shop work.

Deleted wife's ecodiesel.

Made a big difference, more mpg, far less heat under hood and under truck .
Better throttle response

It is sad to see.
Green Diesel Engineering had a great tune for these Sprinters, but they can't even sell it anymore...

But what's mores costly for environment, motor that won't last. Def is a bad fluid. Less mpg ?

It's designed for a motor that runs at speed for long distance, wife drives a half mile to work, and she will not Rida a bicycle,,, hussy

I now have real world experience with the Van fuel economy. I know overall numbers will be slightly lower than the 2 stops I made on the way down here.
1st tank fill. 13.2 mpg
2nd tank fill 14.4 mpg. And the second tank included the typical horrible driving getting through the Nashville/Murfreesboro corridor. About 60 miles of the worst stop/go driving I've ever seen. By the time I was through that mess I needed a shot or two of human antifreeze.

Took a course in I C engines at Rolla circa 1965.

Along came all the bull chit emission crap early ‘70s.

I’m like WTF? Burn more fuel to reduce parts per million. Just put out more parts entirely they did.

One point in compression ratio in the 8-10:1 range was good for an increase in brake thermal efficiency of 7-8% per point.

EGR further reduced efficiency. Retard timing further reduced mileage.
