So an old friend brings his lawnmower up (1 1/2 blocks) as it won’t start for him. [emoji90]

Dumped the fuel checking for water but had none.

Checked spark and the plug was finger loose. No where near seated.

Shoot carb cleaner in and it pops some.

No primer bulb, automatic choke. WTF !!

A couple more shots of gum out gets it going.

Our work is done. [emoji1696]

Front wheel drive. Good luck getting it up a hill. [emoji2959]

Yes.

Next door neighbor has already regretted buying the MS170 with his stimulus check. Now it’s running lean.

I just sold his 38cc Poulan three weeks ago. It was the better saw.

Literally...

The carb’s and oil pumps on those 170’s are garbage..

Poulans are garbage, but the stihl’s are a special kind of crap.. 50% failure rate I’d bet..

I was looking to upgrade my husqvarna 325l weed eater to a newer model in a combi system. Does anyone have any feedback on a husky 535lk? Lookn at the specs the 325lk is closer to what Ive got but one can never have too much power. Lol!

I don't know about those models. I've got the 128LD straight shaft that takes the different attachments. I've got the Weed eater head, tiller head, limb saw head, brush blade head and leaf blower head. First thing I did was fatten up the low and high speed mixture screws and I run 32:1 instead of the 50:1. Had it 4 or 5 years now and runs all the attachments great.

Bruce is having the husqvarna days again, not sure if those are covered but may be worth inquiring. Seems to me that they were on one of the other sales he offered.

I looked again this afternoon my old model is a 325l but I’ve always ran 32/1 and had good luck. But I don’t have the combi system otherwise I’d keep what I have. I’d really like to be able to buy the attachments for it for trimming limbs and tilling and such.

We have had the Solo a long time. March 2016. Bout time I did something with him.

It very closely resembles a Stihl S10.

120 psi and arc welder spark. Points mag [emoji106]

IIRC it needs seals for sure as it would only pop on a prime.

Things are about to change. [emoji1696]

Morning midlanders!

Got the Solo half torn down. Many parts held together with lots of slotted head screws makes slow going. [emoji43]‍[emoji94]

The impulses line (Tygon, [emoji90]) was disconnected is why it wouldn’t run from the get go. [emoji2960]

Finished de constructing the Solo. [emoji106]

Gads, someone must have gotten kickbacks from the fastener supplier. [emoji2960]

Good news is all it needs is rings and crank seals.

Cylinder looks near pristine and piston has .0035” skirt clearance.
